Use of Facebook Social Plugins
On this website, Social Plugins (“plugins”) of the social network facebook.com, operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”), are used. The plugins are identified by one of the Facebook logos (white “f” on blue tile or a “thumbs-up” sign) or labelled “Facebook Social Plugin.” A list and the appearance of the Facebook Social Plugins can be viewed at: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.
When a user accesses a page on this website that contains such a plugin, the browser establishes a direct connection to the Facebook servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted directly to the user’s browser by Facebook and incorporated in the website by the browser. If the user is logged on to Facebook, Facebook can link the visit and the user’s Facebook account. If a user interacts with the plugins, for example by activating the Like button or entering a comment, the corresponding information will be transmitted directly from the user’s browser to Facebook and stored there. Facebook can identify the IP address and store it even if the user is not a member of Facebook. Facebook states that in Germany, only an anonymized IP address is stored.
Users who are Facebook members and do not want Facebook to be able to gather data on them via this site and link it with their Facebook membership data must log off from Facebook before visiting the website and delete corresponding Facebook cookies. They can also block Facebook Social Plugins with browser add-ons, for example with the “Facebook Blocker.”

When a user accesses an internet page on this site that contains such a button, the browser establishes a direct connection to the Google servers. The content of the buttons is transmitted directly to the user’s browser by Google and incorporated in the website by the browser. Google states that no personal data is collected unless the user clicks the button. Such data, including the IP address, are only collected and processed for logged-in members of Google+.
